Register for a limited number of seats at this free weekly self-paced learning lab for experienced pattern makers. You'll have 3 hours' access to our Patternmaker software, use of textbooks and workbooks, and assistance from the volunteer tutor, Ellen Dayan. You'll need to have good computer skills and at least an intermediate understanding of pattern making concepts and techniques in order to benefit from this learning opportunity at FABRIC. There are just 3 seats available, first come first serve!

60+ Arizona fashion designers/brands, 60+ models, and the best AZ hair stylists and makeup artists come together in one show to highlight the emerging, diverse, fashion community in AZ.

A portion of the proceeds will support the non-profit Arizona Apparel Foundation with their mission to #growazfashion.

REQUIREMENTS: all brands/designers, hair stylists and makeup artists must have an official AZ business with a business license and an AZ address, and must be listed in the LabelHorde Directory (listing with Labelhorde is free!).

The deadline to apply as a participant is November 11th, 2017.

We are celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the Blue Bird Pinups! Join us for native fashion, indigenous resistance, and unity at F.A.B.R.I.C. the Arizona Fashion Headquarters.

We'll be showcasing vintage fashion from the 1940s & 1950s by the Blue Bird Pinups and the designs of OXDX Clothing. Performances by Rippy & the Sillyettes, Kahara Hodges, and Lady Yazzie.

Dress to impress as we will have a vintage photo booth and prizes for "Best Dressed". We'll dance the night away with cake, punch, those ole school vibes, and sounds from DJ Jermatik.

OXDX will be releasing a special BBPU collaboration capsule and fashion show with participants from the BBPU workshop.

Cinderella Affair Prom Dress Project

Arizona Apparel Foundation recently held a contest for high school fashion students at East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) to design a plus sized prom dress. EVIT student, Nicole Begay, was the winner of the contest. Congratulations, Nicole! Nicole's winning dress was manufactured in the FABRIC building utilizing the services located inside. Nicole got to experience the responsibilities of a real fashion designer and get her name and logo on the labels! These dresses are being donated to The Cinderella Affair and will be given away to girls in need this Saturday, March 25, 2017 8 am-3 pm, and April 1 and 8, 2017 8 am-3 pm at The Cinderella Affair Boutique, at 411 N. McKemy Avenue, Chandler, Arizona.

Learning To Sew

Vocational Training For Tempe Young Adults With Disabilities

Arizona Apparel Foundation and The Centers For Habilitation are teaming up to provide technical training for young adults with disabilities. These eager learners are currently working with a job coach in the F.A.B.R.I.C. building to gain vocational skills in the fashion industry. Our hope is that our program participants will contribute to the developing workforce in apparel manufacturing in Arizona. Best wishes, TCH trainees!
