1. What is Arizona Apparel Foundation?
Arizona Apparel Foundation (AAF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 by Angela Johnson and Sherri Barry to promote the fashion industry in Arizona. AAF is located in the F.A.B.R.I.C building at 132 E. 6th Street in Tempe, AZ.

2. What is F.A.B.R.I.C.?
(Fashion and Business Resource and Innovation Center)
F.A.B.R.I.C. is located in what was formerly the Tempe Performing Art Center, where Childsplay and Stray Cat Theater once performed, and Tempe 11 Video had offices. The City of Tempe granted the building to Arizona Apparel Foundation, and to fashion innovators Angela Johnson and Sherri Barry, to help make Arizona a popular fashion destination, and to encourage members of the community to be part of the growing fashion industry.

3. How can I schedule a tour of F.A.B.R.I.C. for my student or business group?

4. I'm a fashion designer. What can I accomplish at F.A.B.R.I.C.?
As a local fashion designer, you can find almost everything you need at F.A.B.R.I.C including classes and seminars related to fashion design and technical skill development, a comprehensive resource library for sourcing materials and manufacturing, industrial equipment and professional manufacturing services, consulting for start-up and business development, space for hosting fashion related events, and services by resident businesses that support the industry such as photographers, fashion and accessory designers, graphic designers, pattern designers, and more.

5. I'm interested in the Arizona Apparel Designer Entrepreneur Scholarship Program. How can I learn more about it and apply?
Arizona Apparel Foundation (AAF) has recently selected its first three scholarship winners (March, 2017). Generous donations of time, expertise, and services by local fashion businesses make it possible for AAF to support the development of fashion designers for 6 months, provide on-location office space, and grant access to work space in the F.A.B.R.I.C. building. AAF is currently seeking grant funding to expand and add value to the scholarship program. Please check back with us here for up-to-date information about future scholarship opportunities.

9. I’m a student and I would like to do an internship at AAF. Where can I find information about this?

We are interested in working with local students from a variety of majors to promote fashion industry in our community. We welcome students with special interests in fashion design, fashion merchandising, education, youth development, business development and marketing, wearable technology, and sustainability.
